The Supreme Court ruled that GST authorities must communicate a Section 69 arrest order to an individual before making an arrest, allowing them a fair opportunity to seek anticipatory bail. At the same time, the Court clarified that courts cannot grant temporary protection from arrest if the main anticipatory bail application is rejected as non-maintainable.
